Counselling

What is counselling?
Is it for me?

Counselling is a type of talking therapy.

A safe and confidential space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings.

Building a trusting relationship free from judgement, where you feel safe to be authentically you.

See things from a new perspective.

Getting a better understanding of yourself and helping you to make positive changes in your life.

A learning experience, gaining coping skills and strategies to manage your feelings, thoughts and behaviours.

Supporting you to find your own way forwards through your problems.

Learning how to be kinder to yourself, discover your potential and experience your self confidence grow.

The integrative model of counselling that I use is a holistic one, focusing on both the here and now as well as talking about your past experiences and significant relationships and how they affect who you are today.

Counselling can be useful in a range of situations.

For example clients may come to me with issues such as:

Depression

Anxiety

Relationship issues

Stress

Bereavement

Panic attacks

Eating disorders

Abuse

Self harm

Long term illness

Addictions

Trauma

If you are still unsure if counselling is for you, feel free to get in contact and I would be happy to discuss this further and together find the best way forwards for you.
